The Ask

In 2019, Kellogg’s partnered with the Dollar General Literacy Foundation for the second year in a row to highlight recent graduates of literacy programs. This year, five women from a small town in Oklahoma were selected to tell their stories and have the opportunity to be featured on the back of one of five Kellogg’s Cereal boxes.

Success Stories

After photographing the graduates to be featured on their respective boxes, Dollar General asked my team to create a video highlighting the program as well as the positive experiences each woman has faced since their journey began. Led by our Creative Director, Kelly Klosterman, she was integral in developing the overall direction for the shoot. The decision to present the boxes to the graduates during the shoot created great candid moments of excitement and surprise, as they did not expect to see them at that point.
